It sounds like you are looking for an RV Air Conditioner with integrated heat pump. If that is the case then we do have a really great option for you, the Atwood Air Command Rooftop RV Air Conditioner part # AT15033-22 for black or part # AT15028-22 for white which are ducted models. These can be used to replace a Carrier RV Air Conditioner through you will need to do some wiring. They both have integrated heat pumps like your old unit.

If you don't have a ducted coach then we do still have an option but you will have to go without the heat pump, the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Carrier Setup part # ACCAR150B for back or part # ACCAR150 for white. These modes should both be plug-in play fits as they come with a Carrier adapter harness. There is also the option of adding heat with the Electric Heat Strip for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners part # ACMHD which is designed to knock the chill off.

It sounds like you tried to replace a unit that had a heat pump with a unit that did not have a heat pump.
