Your Furrion Chill Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Furrion Setup - 15,000 Btu - Black # FR86PR is definitely not functioning correctly. We haven't seen this issue yet with that model, but it isn't uncommon that air conditioners when they have a leak, need recharged, or have a problem with either the thermostat or compressor itself have this issue. I recommend contacting the manufacturer if it is still under warranty or taking it in for service at a dealer you trust.

It makes sense that the unit is freezing if the box isn't letting out enough air for sure because it would just be redirecting it back into the coils until they freeze. I haven't seen that happening so I wonder if you just got a bad box. If you used an old box with the new unit I'd replace it with the Replacement Air Distribution Box for Furrion Chill RV Air Conditioner - Electric Control - White # FACT12SA-PS or the Replacement Air Distribution Box w/ Built-in Thermostat for Furrion Chill RV Air Conditioner - White # FACT11MA-PS. It makes me think you may need the thermostat model because that should keep the unit working properly.
