Trouble Replacing Carrier RV Air Conditioner with Advent RV Air Conditioner

Question:

I purchased the accar150 from you and it arrived in late april. I installed it today and the wiring from the advent does not match up to the wiring from my old carrier unit. looks like there is a 3rd plug maybe for a reversing valve coil? and a couple more extra plugs. I installed and plugged in what the diagram showed to plug in. AC came on but will not stay on for very long and only the high fan works. I sent pics today to paulb@etrailer today. I was also told to call advent and spoke to tech Harold Arnold and was told by him that he has informed etrailer not to advertise as a direct replacement for Carrier. I need to find out a remedy for the AC soon.

In regards to the Carrier Adapter Wiring Kit for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners part # ACCARKIT, there was a tech bulletin released by the manufacturer which could apply to you. I have attached this for you below. It is also important to note that the adapter is not compatible on models with a integrated heat pump. That said, a qualified tech will need to diagnose the issue before proceeding to see if the issue is related to the hardware or installation. If you need the distribution box listed in the bulletin we have this avavailbe as the Air Distribution Box w/ Wall-Mounted Thermostat for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners part # ACRG15.
