Identifying Circuits of 7-Way on Trailer to Rewire New Connector

Question:

I have a 7 way plug that has been destroyed. It has 6 wires in it. The yellow and black are connected to the same terminal but I have no clue what locations they were in. The wiring diagrams I am finding online have all wires going to a different terminal does not work. This trailer only has turn signals, running lights and brake lights, no reverses lights or power brakes. I purchased this Hooper brand trailer new when I purchased a tractor package deal, so it was wired this way from the factory. There is 1 green, 1 red, 1 white, 1 brown, 1 yellow and 1 black wire with the yellow and black tied together on 1 terminal. How should it be wired for the tail, turn signal and brakes to work?

While the colors you mentioned are typical colors used for trailer wiring what we have found is that the wiring colors aren't always a perfect match. Normally on a utility trailer like what you have green is right/turn, red is brake, white is ground, brown is taillight, yellow is left turn/stop, and black is 12 volt accessory.

Also are the pins of the 7-way round or are they a flat blade? I attached a picture that has the three standard ways a 7-way is ran on a trailer. When in doubt you can trace the wires to where they terminate on the trailer or you can run a jumper wire from a 12 volt battery's positive post and see which circuit activates.
