Compatibility of Weight Distribution System With 2018 Jeep Wrangler Hitch Receiver
Question:
Hi, I bought a used travel trailer that came with this Husky 32215 hitch. I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL 4 door Sahara with tow package and can tow 3500 and have a tongue weight capacity of 350. It has a class II hitch. My trailer has 2126 UVW and 323 dry hitch weight. I am wondering if this hitch will distribute the weight making it work for my tongue weight capacity of 350. Or will the weight of the hitch and the way it distributes weight exceed my jeeps tongue weight capacity? The hitch says it has max tongue weight of 400-600 pounds and I dont know what that means in my situation. Thank you in advance

Your Jeep will have a Class III hitch with a 2 inch receiver, so the tongue weight capacity is what is in question. All of the hitch receivers we carry have a tongue weight capacity with weight distribution increasing the capacity to 400 lbs with the exception of the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # DT78MR which is rated for 675 lbs tongue weight with or without weight distribution.
It sounds like your hitch is rated for up to 600 lbs when using weight distribution and up to 400 when not using weight distribution so you should be good to go.
