Picture of Curt Hitch # C15802 Installed On Ford Truck
Question:
I want to replace my Ford factory hitch Class IV with a Curt 15802 Class V hitch to handle increased tongue weight. Truck is a 2017 F350 Crew Cab. Im hoping the Curt is a very close match to the factory hitch as far a height from the ground to the bottom of the receiver opening. I currently use a Hensley hitch system with a fixed-height bar cannot be adjusted that slides into the hitch receiver. I need to know how close the Curt replacement hitch once installed will be to matching the height of the existing Ford factory receiver so that the trailer continues to ride level. I guess the easiest measure would be from the top of the 2 1/2inch receiver opening to the bottom of the bumper? Can you provide me with that measurement? Then I can compare, I am ready to order once I am confident the Curt is close to the height I need.

I don't have an exact dimension I can give you but if you check out the picture I attached that shows the Curt hitch part # C15802 installed you can see that it installs basically in the exact same location as the factory hitch.
