Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Rear Window Visibility With My 2020 Toyota Prius
Question:
Hi, After doing a lot of research we are looking to purchase the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 for our new Prius Prime. I have one last question. We have two standard hybrid road bikes. Once these bikes are installed on the rack, how much will they interview with vision out of the rear hatch window? As you know, the Prius already has this sort of spoilerinch thing along the rear window. Im just wondering how much higher the bikes will impinge on the hatch window and visibility. Advice?

The nice thing about the Kuat Sherpa 2 # SH12G is it has no center mast. So there will be less visual interference with your rear window. It will all come down to the bikes. The bikes are going to sit around 4 inches higher than your hitch receiver so you can get an idea of how much they will block your view if you hold your bike up 4 inches higher than your hitch receiver.
I've included a picture of the Sherpa with bikes loaded on a smaller suv to give you an idea. The bikes are rather large, but you can see how it blocks some of the view. I've also included a video of the Sherpa in action if you haven't watched it already!
