Will the etrailer.com Stainless Receiver Lock Fit in the Factory Hitch on Ford and Jeep Vehicles
Question:
The description says it will not fit with some factory receivers. Any list of what it wont fit, or instructions regarding how to check my receiver dimensions before ordering? I have 2011-12 Fords and Jeeps

The Stainless Receiver Lock, # e98882, should work just fine on your Ford and Jeep vehicles, but you should measure the Outside width of the hitch receiver at the hitch pin hole just to be sure. As long as this measurement is 2-9/16 inches or less this hitch lock will work for you.
We have found that this lock will not work on newer Toyota Tundra and Tacoma Vehicles that have thick walled 2 inch hitches and that the 2010 and newer GMC Chevy HD truck with 2-1/2 inch hitches have the same problem. For these vehicles we recommend the Extra Long Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock, # e9888. This new lock will fit on hitches that measure less than 3-5/8 inches overall width at the hitch pin hole.
The # e98881 hitch lock is constructed of high strength steel and is double chrome plated.
