Fifth Wheel Trailer to Gooseneck Hitch Adapter for Venture or Steelco/Davis Pin Box

Question:

I have a 2006 Thor Vortex 365WTB with a Trailair 21K kingpin box. My Silverado 3500 has an auxiliary fuel tank in the bed so I am limited on space. So I am resorting to use my B&W gooseneck ball. I am looking for a gooseneck box sort of like the Goose Box that fits my trailer. My measurements resemble the items below. Venture CJ20515...17 8 1-1/2 N/A 1/2 3/4 18-1/2 26-1/2 12 Steelco/Davis PB02,PB02W 8 1-1/2 N/A 1/2 3/4 6 18-1/2 26-1/2 12 What are my options for a gooseneck kingpin box? Thanks

While we have an option for you, the Reese Goose Boxes are only confirmed fits to replace certain Lippert and Fabex pin boxes, so you will need a 5th wheel to gooseneck adapter that bolts onto your king pin. For that I recommend the Convert-A-Ball, and you can choose from a standard adapter or one with an offset.

- Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter # CAB-C5G

- Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter with Offset # CAB-C5GX1216

These will work so long as the measurement from the top of the ball in your truck to the base of the pin box on the trailer measures between 12 inches and 16 inches.

I recommend going with the option with offset if you have a short bed, with the offset being 7-1/2 inches.
