How To Install a 5-Way Trailer Wiring Harness On a 2012 Audi Q5
Question:
Hi, I need to add 5 pin trailer wiring to my Audi Q5. I see most of the kits are 4 pin but it is possible to piggyback the 5th pin. What kits would you recommend? I already have the trailer hitch.

In order to install a 5-way trailer wiring harness on a 2012 Audi Q5 you'll need to start with a 4-way as that's all that is available, the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 119250KIT for no splicing or Curt Powered Tail Light Converter part # C59236 splicing required is what I recommend. Then, you can adapt either of these to a 5-way with the Tow Ready 4 Pole to 5 Pole Trailer Wiring Adapter part # 20036.
