Parts Needed to Add a Trailer Brake Controller to a 2000 Ford Ranger
Question:
what break controller and any other parts do i need to connect to a 2000 ford ranger

Expert Reply:
To add a brake controller to your 2000 Ford Ranger you will start by adding a 4-Way connector, # 118344, unless the truck already has one. Then you will need a 4 and 7-Way installation kit # ETBC7. This will add a 7-Way trailer connector and provide the wiring to install the brake controller.
I have included some links that will explain the installation for you. The brake controller you referenced, # 90885, is a good choice. It is one of our most popular controllers because it is easy to set up and easy to use.
