6-Way Trailer Wiring Recommendation
Question:
I have six wires on my trailer. White, brown, red, yellow, green and black. Which is my electric brake, red or black?

Based on the colors you gave me I believe the red wire you have has the best chance for being the electric brake circuit. If you check out the picture I attached you can see the typical wiring of 6-way. Wire color is not always an accurate indicator of function though, so you should check to make sure you know which wire does what.
To figure out what the wires all are you can trace them all back to see where they terminate, or you could get a vehicle battery and run a jumper wire to each circuit to see which trailer function is activated when there is power on the circuits.
Check out the FAQ on trailer wiring I attached also.
