Parts Needed to Wire a 2007 Nissan Frontier with a 6-Way at Front to Flat Tow with RV with 7-Way

Question:

Do you have a procedure for connecting my Blue Ox round 6 connector to my 2007 Nissan Frontier? IE what is the good location for connecting the tail, turn, and stop lights for towing? I also sent in a request for info to adapt the 6 wire to the 7 wire connector and found that you do sell that item.

The first thing you are going to need is a lighting kit for the 2007 Nissan Frontier to flat tow it. You can use diode kit # 154-792-118158. You could then replace the 4-Way end that will be at the front of the vehicle with # RM-910030-7 for a 6-Way if needed. The wires from the diode kit have the following functions:

White is ground, Brown is running lights, yellow is left turn/brake lights, and green is right turn, brake lights.

At the BACK of the 6-Way on the front of the Nissan you will connect the wires as follows:

white ground in 10 oclock position
brown running light in 12 oclock position
green right turn/brake in 5 oclock position
yellow left turn/brake in 7 oclock position

Then to adapt the 7-Way on the tow vehicle to a 6-Way for the cable you have you can use # 47549.
