Can Kuat Transfer 2 Bike Rack be Used with the Kuat Pivot 2 Swing Away Hitch Extender
Question:
In your video describing the Pivot, you mention that the Pivot can only be used with a true 2 inch rack, but then you demonstrate it with the Transfer rack, which is not a true 2 inch but a 1.25 inch with a 2 inch adapter. So can the Pivot be used with any 1.25 inch hitch that has a 2 inch adapter? Thanks much for you answer!

All of the videos that we have on the Kuat Pivot 2 Swing Away Hitch Extender # PVD20B feature the Kuat NV 2.0 2-Bike Platform Rack # NV22G which has a solid 2" receiver. If there are any videos out there showing the Transfer 2 TS02G installed on this swing away extender then they are incorrect. For safety purposes only bike racks with a solid 2" shank should be used. This is actually the case for any swing away extender regardless of the manufacturer.
