Available Hitch to Help Reduce Dragging When Pulling Out of Steep Driveway for 2015 Volvo XC60
Question:
I was referred to you by another mnfctr/dealer. I have a 2015 Volvo XC60 and I need one of those hitches that you can take off when not using. I have a steep driveway and if I have a hitch, it will scrape badly. Thank you kindly

I may have a solution for you, but I checked with Stealth Hitches, who make the "removable" hitch receiver I believe you're referring to and they don't have a confirmed fit for your 2015 Volvo XC60 as of yet. With that said, a hitch with a concealed cross tube like the the Draw-Tite # 76116 might do the job for you. When installed, this hitch has 13-1/2" from the top of the receiver to the ground, so it's going to have a bit better ground clearance than any standard hitch.
If you're finding that you're still dragging a bit when backing out of the driveway you can use the Roadmaster Roller # RM-050 on your hitch to help keep the hitch from dragging.
Since there isn't a Stealth Hitch available for your vehicle, this would be the best available option we could offer, but I think it would work well for your situation.
