Can a 2013 Subaru Impreza WRX Tow a Trailer with EcoHitch Trailer Hitch Receiver
Question:
Will this hitch allow for me to tow a single jet ski ~1000 lb towing weight? Is it not recommended to tow anything with this car from your perspective? 2013 Subaru Impreza WRX

Expert Reply:
The EcoHitch Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 306-X7261 for wagon models or part # 306-X7279 for sedan models is a great option for a 2013 Subaru Impreza WRX and will allow you to tow a trailer up to 2,000 lbs. That said, you'd need to confirm the towing capacity in the owner's manual of the vehicle and go by the lower of the two ratings.
In order to complete your setup you'd need the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 119250KIT and the etrailer Ball Mount Kit part # 989900.
