Platform Bike Rack Recommendation for Carrying E-Bikes
Question:
hello, just have clarification, i want to purchase the kuat sherpa 2.0 to be used on my ebike weighs 50 lbs. and for each rack is only 40 lbs each. so for 2 racks is 80 lbs. can o still used this hitch. because i dont want to remove my battery is hard to put it back. and i only have class 1 hitch for my car. thanks.

Since you have a Class I hitch on your vehicle I have a great bike rack solution for your heavier e-bikes but the Sherpa does not have the capacity you'll need so it would not be the way to go. Instead I'd recommend the Thule EasyFold XT part # TH903202 as it was designed for E-bikes so it can handle the weight and is also very easy to load/unload due to it's included ramp setup and has a frame clamp design that works great with the typically alternative style frames of e-bikes.
