Can Slider Unit on Curt C16541 A20 5th Wheel Hitch Be Replaced with C16904 Leg Kit

I recently purchased a used 5th Wheel that came with a hitch. It appears to be the Curt C16541 Slider. I do not need the slider nor do I want the weight. It appears that I can simply purchase legs C16904 and transfer the head unit. Would you agree?

Absolutely. The Curt # C16904 Replacement Base Legs are fully compatible with the Curt # C16541 A20 5th wheel hitch center section/hitch head.

As you can see in the provided photo, the hardware needed to attach the #C16904 Curt Q20 Replacement Legs to the hitch center section are included, as are the pins and clips used to attach the hitch to the bed rails.

Yes the Curt Q20 hitch head part #C16530 would fit the same rail legs that you have now to convert it to a higher capacity hitch.

The Curt Q20 fifth wheel head unit part #C16530 can fit a few leg kits depending on the application. For standard fixed legs for a long bed truck you'd want the part #C16904 or for a slider base #C16550 and you'd be set.

Yes, the Curt Q20 legs, part #C16904, do fit on the Q24 hitch, part #C16245. The bolt holes line up and the legs are the same height. You will decrease the hitch's capacity to 20,000 pounds though.
