Can I Carry a 50-lbs Bike on the Thule Camber
Question:
Spec says Weight capacity: 37.5 lbs per bike equals 150 lbs if i only carry 3 bikes and stay under 150 lbs could i carry a 50 lbs bike

No. The Thule Camber # TH9056 has a 37.5lbs per bike capacity and going over that would put stress on the arms of the rack that would likely break it, so you won't be able to carry a 50-lbs bike on it. Hanging racks are generally going to top out at a 37.5 to 40lbs per bike range and if a total capacity is listed the per bike capacity is still a hard and fast rule, so they're really not the best solution for heavier bikes-no matter what the total weight of the combined bikes is.
With that said, if you're looking for a 4 bike rack capable of carrying heavier bikes, I recommend looking at the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 4 # HR1400Z, which has a capacity of 50-lbs per bike. Platform racks are going to negate the need for a bike adapter bar to carry bike with aggressive frames, and they're much easier to load your bikes on and off. This rack also comes with a bike and hitch lock, so your bikes and the rack will be secure on your vehicle.
