Best Weight Distribution System for 30 ft Rockwood with 900 lb Tongue Weight

Question:

Hi! I am considering several weight distribution hitches and I would like your opinion please. I have a 30 Rockwood trailer with a dry tongue weight of 900 lbs. I like the performance that I would get with the Equalizer EQ37121ET but I dont know if I could put up with the noise. I was also thinking of the Reese RP66561but I would be concerned that the friction pads would wear out too soon. The Curt TruTrack 17501 also would work but I have read reviews saying the quality and longevity was questionable. Please help me!! Thank you very much!! This is our retirement trailer and we plan to use this extensively!! Sincerely,

You've done solid research so far on what to go with but one thing worth noting is that all weight distribution systems make noise. With as much tension is in the setups and the fact the components move with that much tension noise is created. The friction noise you hear with the Equal-i-zer setups aren't that much louder than the less performing other options so it is the best option. The systems that have the best sway control happen to be the noisiest like the # EQ37121ET and the Strait Line systems like the # RP66084 which you didn't mention. Between these two kits you'll have the best and safest towing experience. The Strait Line makes louder popping sounds but it does feature the best sway control as it works to keep the vehicle in line and prevent sway before it starts.

I would not recommend the Curt kit for the reasons you mentioned and the other Reese kit you mentioned is pretty solid but there are better
