Trailer Vehicle Wiring for my 2020 Toyota Highlander

There are a couple of wiring harnesses designed for your 2020 Toyota Highlander but the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness part # HM11141845 is not a confirmed fit.
Instead you will use one of the two universal harnesses available. For the easiest installation the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 119250KIT is a great choice. It will clip around the wires to receive signal to operate the lights. This eliminates the need to cut or splice any of your factory wiring.
If you're more comfortable with wiring the 4-Pole Trailer Connector part # C59496 is a more cost effective option. This harness requires you to splice into the different signals behind your tail light housings. This is where it receives its signal to operate the trailer lights.
In either case using a test light like the LCD Digital Circuit Tester part # PTW2992 will help you identify which wire you need to connect to for your trigger or signal wires.
Both kits will also work with the Hybrid Highlander without issue.
