Will Fastway e2 Weight Distribution System Work On Airstream Basecamp X
Question:
Greetings, I will be needing a WD hitch for an Airstream Basecamp X. I have not picked the trailer up yet, so dont have the measurements on the placement of the propane bottles and cover, but from the photos it seems it might be an issue regarding placement of the brackets. I am interested in the Fastway e2 model 94-00-0800, but want to make sure it is compatible with the Basecamp. I will be towing with a 2020 Honda Pilot Touring edition towing package installed. Thanks,

In order to install the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution System part # FA92-00-0800 on a Airstream Basecamp X you'd likely need to modify the propane tank cover. That said, you would need to do this for most systems as well. If you don't want to do any trimming of the cover then you could use brackets which drill into the frame instead, the Chain Hangers for Reese Weight Distribution Systems part # RP58305 with the Strait-Line Weight Distribution System part # RP66082 which actually has better sway control.
In order to complete your setup, you'd need the 2" Hitch Ball part # A-90
