How to Find the Correct Grease Seal for Trailer Hub Assembly

Without taking the hubs apart, How do you know the correct seal size for the hub. Trailer is a 2017 Winnebago Minnie 2500RL

Unless you can get the bearing numbers and seal information from the manufacturer, there isn't a way to really find that information without removing the hubs. You don't have to dismantle them if you want to measure the spindle in a couple locations with a digital caliper like # PTW80157. I've attached a video of how to do this.
Sometimes there isn't too much wear on the seal and you may be able to read the number on the metal rim. If not, then measuring the spindle and getting as close as you can to the outer diameter of the seal without removing it will likely get you the seal you need. Worst case you remove the seal and measure the inner and outer diameter directly with the caliper. You will need to measure to two places past the decimal.
