Will Metal Lid Replace Plastic Roof Vent Lid with Continous Metal Hinge

Hi I have a 2011 flagstaff fifth wheel and I need two vent lids. It looks like even though it’s a 2011, it has the “old style” vent lid with the solid slide in hinge. I noticed the metal lids and several people commenting on how they replaced their plastic vent lids with the metal one. Is it a universal fit as long as the hinges are the same?

Yes, if you have the same continous hinge on your roof vent as the metal lid part # BV0534-00 this lid will work well as a replacement.

You can replace your plastic vent cover #BV0554-01 with the metal lid part #BV0534-00 that you referenced and you'd be set.
