What is the Correct Tire Pressure for the Loadstar ST175/80D13 Bias Trailer Tire part # AM3S158

Question:

My mini camper only weighs a little over 900 lbs loaded. The sticker on the trailor says run 35 lbs pressure. Should I lower the pressure in these new tires to that pressure? What is your recommendation?

I have a perfect solution for you but the Loadstar ST175/80D13 Bias Trailer Tire with 13" Aluminum Wheel part # AM3S158 aren't exactly what you want on your camper. You always want to run a trailer tire at it's appropriate pressure. Running one low on pressure can really add a lot of unnecessary heat build up and will drastically reduce it's weight rating.

Instead use the Loadstar ST175/80D13 Bias Trailer Tire - Load Range B # AM1ST74 this tire offers an 1100 lb. weight rating at 35 psi so it is a perfect match for your camper. Yes the 2200 lb. total capacity is a lot higher than your trailer weight of 900 lbs. but you can run these at the recommended pressure for both the tire and the camper. You will need to have them mounted on the Aluminum Hi-Spec Series S5 Trailer Wheel - 13" x 5" Rim - 5 on 4-1/2 - Silver # AM22323HWT at a local shop when they arrived. These are sold separately and not as a pre-mounted tire and wheel combo. This allows you to get the rim you want and your camper to get the tire it wants!
