If your 2018 Ram 2500 has a short bed then I recommend the Demco Hijacker Autoslide simply because it gives you a very secure connection to the king pin, has some of the best quality cushioning for a smooth ride, and the autosliding feature means that you don't have to get in and out of your cab to use the sliding feature and avoid trailer-to-cab contact during sharp turns. The Hijacker is available in 18K # DM8550034 and 21K # DM8550035 versions and installs to the OEM puck system with the Adapter Rails # DM6099.

For a long bed I recommend the Reese M5 # RP30918 which has a 20K capacity and mounts directly to your OEM pucks without an adapter. This uses a single-jaw similar to the Hijacker for a solid connection to your king pin and then has a fully articulating head with shock-dampening technology to give you one of the smoothest rides on the market. The wider V-notch helps to make trailer coupler easier than other options.

If you don't already have a 7-Way socket in the bed of your Ram then I also recommend installing the Bargman # 50-97-410 which makes connecting your trailer wiring easy.
