Comparing Demco and Pullrite Automatic Slider Hitch for 2017 Ram 2500

Question:

How does the Demco superslider compare with the Pullrite slider.. the Pullrite states it is the best but I believe you have to also purchase a slider plate on your kingpin for the pullrite slider to work properly which has a negative impact on the hitching process... my understanding is that you have to have your trailer perfectly lined up with this system to hitch up trailer. The Demco on the other hand does not require any special additions to your kingpin. My other question is that I have the Ram 2017 short bed truck with the ram tow package pucks. Does Demco make the superslider that will fit that or do you still have to purchase an additional bar to add to the bed of truck. Thanks

The Demco Hijacker Hitch part # DM8550035 that you referenced has been confirmed as a fit for your 2017 Ram 2500 with hitch package and short bed as long as you use the adapter part # DM6099 and would be what I would recommend for you. It would not require any rail kit adapters either.

It is very similar to the Pullrite Superglide in operation. I have read many online reviews on other sites and forums where people compare the two saying that the Demco costs less and tends to be more reliable so I would highly recommend it for you.

Also, the Demco does not require the use of a capture plate like the Pull-Rite so that is one less thing to buy. Certain pin boxes that are unusual require locking plates, but that is not the norm.

I attached a review video that shows how the Demco operates when installed in a truck bed. The video shows the version of the hitch that installs in above-mounted bed rails but the operation of the auto-slide is the same.
