Which Slider Hitch is Best Reese, Demco, or Pull Rite

Question:

I have a 2014 Ecoboost King Ranch with 6 1/2 foot bed. Im at a campground and every person I talk to has the BEST slide hitch. Which slide hitch would you prefer, Reese, PullRite, or Demco? A number of people say if you certain hitches you cannot pull other trailers. Pls explain.

There are a lot of great options out there so any of the brands you mentioned are going to work well. And people are notoriously partial to what they already own so that's some of why everyone has the "best".

For a slider hitch the automatic sliders are where it's at in my opinion. You don't have to get out and activate them or remember anything at all as it does the work for you.

The things that the 18K Demco Hijacker # DM8550034 and the 18K SuperGlide have in common are that they both offer 14" of travel, they are both automatic sliding 5th wheel hitches, have 2-point pivoting hitch heads, are compatible with industry standard base rails, and they are both rated to tow up to an 18K trailer. Both 5th wheel hitches come with a 5-year limited warranty as well.

Although they both have the single-jaw system to lock the king pin into place, the SuperGlide hugs it against the side of the head whereas the Hijacker has an extra piece that locks it directly in the middle of the hitch head. The Hijacker also has a 3/4" thick, solid steel locking bar to reinforce the connection and give you peace-of-mind.

The Hijacker has 3 different height settings: 15-1/4", 16-1/2", and 18" when compared to the one 18-1/2" height setting of the SuperGlide. This makes the Hijacker much more versatile for different towing situations.

The hitch head on the Hijacker also includes built-in brackets that stabilize your pin box. This eliminates the need for a separate capture plate for standard, non-cushioned pin boxes.

To top it all off, I found that the Hijacker is much more cost-effective than the SuperGlide. Great quality with more features and for less money is always a win in my book.
