What is Purpose of Splines of Wet Equalizer Bolt with Locknut and Grease Zerk # 126B2
Question:
Are the splines underneath the bolt head designed to make the bolt unable to spin inside the hanger mount? I cant get the splines to fit into the hanger, and was wondering if i open the hole on the hanger, do i need to make sure its more the snug on the spline? Need that extra 1/4inch of threads to get the nut on. Thanks for the time

Helpful Expert Reply:
The splines of the Wet Equalizer Bolt with Locknut and Grease Zerk for Double-Eye Springs # 126B2 are designed to grip the hanger when they are inserted. If your hangers are too tight to allow them to fit in you could drill the hangers to open the hole up to allow them to fit.
