How to Connect an Older Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar to Direct Connect Base Plates
Question:
I have a 2019 Ford Explorer with a new Roadnaster Baseplate and removable arms. What kind of adapter do I need to connect the Falcon II to the removable arms? The old tow assembly on the RV has connectors that attach to the quick disconnect pins on the crossbar.Photo of old Cross Bar and new removable arms attached. It looks like the Item # RM-031 on your site for the Blue Ox rig is similar to what I need. I cant get the site to let me load the other photo...

I've got good news for you. All you'll need to do is remove the crossbar from your Falcon 2, RM-520, no adapter necessary. The towbar arms will then attach directly to the removable arms of the # RM-521884-5 base plate. Couldn't be simpler.
You can see this at the 1:10 mark of the video I've linked for you. The video shows a direct connect base plate in use on a different vehicle, but it will show you how things fit together.
In addition to the base plate and tow bars, you'll need safety cables, a wiring harness, a supplemental braking system and possibly a high/low adapter if the height difference between the installed base plates and the receiver on the motorhome is greater than 3 inches. If you need any of these items, I'd be happy to make some recommendations.
