Hitch Extender and Adapter for Class I, 1-1/4 Inch Trailer Hitch

Can this be used with the Curt Class I hitch? I plan on using this with a Hitch Haul only for transporting relatively light weight items outside the vehicle, like 5 gallon fuel cans and propane tanks. No towing.
