Solution for PullRite SuperGlide Sitting Too High in 2020 GMC Sierra 2500 with OEM Puck System

Question:

I just bought a 2020 2500 Sierra. They are apparently higher than my previous ‘13 Sierra 2500. Purchased the truck with the stock “puck” original equipment for the hitch. Purchased the Pullrite rails for it and installed them. The hitch now sits much higher than it did in my ‘13. My Artic Wolf 285 5th Wheel rides way to high in front. The Turning Point pin box on the trailer won’t adjust any further to lower the front end. Is there a way to lower the hitch itself. Narrower rails? Any ideas?

That is a very common trend in new pickups is that they are taller than the previous generations. This can be an issue if your 5th wheel hitch doesn't have height adjustability as you have found with your PullRite SuperGlide. We do have a solution for you to pull your Artic Wolf 285 5th Wheel with your 2020 GMC Sierra 2500, but you will need to get a new hitch unfortunately since you have already adjusted the pin box as much as you can.

The equivalent to your SuperGlide that we have is the Demco Hijacker Autoslide which comes in an 18K # DM8550034 and a 21K # DM8550035 weight rating. This installs in your OEM puck system using the Adapter # DM6333, and these hitches can be adjusted from 15-1/4" - 18" tall.

Since your pin box is a Turning Point though you either need to lock it out to use the Hijacker or you need to purchase a stationary hitch. I recommend going with the stationary hitch because it will just be simpler and easier altogether. For this I recommend the B&W Companion which comes in a 20K # BWRVK3710 and 25K # BWRVK3715 weight ratings, both of which mount directly to your OEM puck system and have height ranges of 16-3/4" - 18-3/4".

Attached are some videos for you to check out.
