It is quite easy to remove the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller part # TK90160 and get it installed on a new vehicle. Generally this is installed using a custom pigtail and it is simply plug and play like on your 2012 Frontier there will be a pigtail that connects the wires from the Primus to the brake controller port under the dash of your Frontier just unplug it at the factory connector. After that remove the bracket that holds it to the dashboard.
You can then use one of the many different vehicle specific pigtails to plug it into your next rig. If you fill me in on the new vehicle I can tell you the pigtail part number you will need. We have alot of different options depending on the year make and model.
