Curt Hitch for 2017 Buick Envision that Allows Reinstall of Lower Rear Bumper Cover

Question:

After instalation of this hitch will the bumper hitch/cover go back in place using the 2 screws removed during he installation of the hitch. I dont mind having to replace the two screws and cover when not using the hitch as we dont want to see the hitch when not in use. Thanks for your informaton,

You can reinstall the lower rear bumper cover of your 2017 Buick Envision after the install the Curt trailer hitch part # C13292 you referenced. If you check out the 20 second mark of the install video I attached you can see our installer removing the cover easily to access the hitch as needed.

My hitch is on the way, but I need a torque wrench. Can you tell me what torque is required on the chassis bolts?

For the Class III Trailer Hitch # C13292, Curt states to torque all 7/16" hardware to 59 ft-lbs and all M10 hardware to 40 ft-lbs.

Hi, I'm looking at the hitch #C13405. Is that compatible with a 2018 envision or do I need to stick to #C13292 ? I'm interested in a product where i would not need to take the trim apart but understand if that will be the only option

The Curt Hitch # C13405 fits a 2019 - Current Buick Envision. Since you have the 2018 you're going to need to stick with the Curt # C13292 mentioned above. The one nice thing about this option is that you can put the trim piece back in place if you want that OEM look. Otherwise there is no rule saying that you need to put that trim piece on anytime you aren't using the receiver - you can very well leave it off full-time if you want.
