Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring on 2004 Chevy Silverado Where Taillights Work Incorrectly
Question:
On my trailer when I put left turn signal on they both come on I mean let side with right side and when I press brakes only left side comes on also when I just plug in trailer lights on trailer will light up but truck lights are not on and its not even running. What would be the issue? I have 2004 Chevrolet Silverado. I know its not trailer problem because it works on other vehicle that I.

You have some wiring shorts that need to be cleaned up. It sounds like your best option is to go over all of the trailer wiring on the truck. I'd suspect that if you inspected the back of the trailer wiring connector you'd see quite a bit of exposed wire shorting out to each other. Cleaning all of that up will most likely take care of the issues.
It is most likely time for a new 7-way connector with the part # PK11893 as yours may be in need of replacing if it looks damaged.
