Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Aligner Will Not Show Reverse or Everyday Mode
Question:
I have had the back up camera on my 2013 chevy pickup for a few years with no problems until recently. I lost the hitch mode back in the summer and just a few weeks ago I lost the everyday mode. The everyday mode will come on for a few seconds when I put the truck in reverse and then goes away. Is there anything I can do to regain these modes?

I reached out to the manufacturer, Hopkins, to see what you could do in order to try and find the issue with your back-up camera. What they said was: "If they are losing the modes or if the gridlines are disappearing that means the circuit board in the camera plate is going out."
They said that due to that you will need to replace your Hopkins SmartHitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System # HM50002.
