Do Trailer Hitches Interfere with Hands Free Lift Gate on 2019 CR-V?
Question:
Will a trailer hitch interfere with my 2019 CR-V's hands free lift gate operation?

Simple answer is no they will not interfere. There is a simple relocation required of the forward most lift gate antenna and the problem is solved. There are several hitches available that offer different looks on the rear of your vehicle. The overall effectiveness of the hitches are the same and they all exceed your CR-V's weight limits set by your manufacturer.
I do however have a favorite when it comes to these hitches part # E98848 is the one I would go with hands down. With this one you'll use the provided hardware and re position your hands free lift gate antenna. The reason I recommend this one is because it has the nicest appearance of all of the hitches. It offers a hidden cross tube that really looks very nice on the rear of the vehicle rather than the Drawtite model # 76128 that has an exposed cross tube. The hidden cross tube helps maintain the aesthetics of the vehicle while giving you all of the benefits of having a class 3 2"x 2" receiver tube opening for you towing or recreational needs.
One thing to keep in mind is that E98848 is slightly more difficult to install than # 76128 but is worth the time. I have personally installed both of these hitches and can tell you that it is a minimal difference in install time but makes a world of difference in the looks when all is said and done. Keep in mind you install it once but look at it everyday!!
Below you'll find links to both recommendations with pictures so you can see the difference i'm speaking of and also install videos Rob completed on the 2019 CR-V. These should go a long way in helping show the difference.
