Difference Between 150W and 300W Settings on Kat's Heaters Ceramic Interior Heater KH37500

Question:

Hi I just bought one of the 37500 models. It say it will work with a 12 V switch I have but then it says that it needs to be on a 30 amp fuse. Well I just looked at my fuses for the 12 V and they are 20 amps fuse. What should or can I do to make this work? Also what is the difference between the 150W and 300W? I know one is more power, I just dont know why you would have both of them. Does one work better than the other and what is the power draw difference between them?

I reached out to my contact at Kat's Heaters and he said when the Ceramic Interior Heater with Fan # KH37500 is switched to 150W it will draw 12.5 amps. When switched to 300W it will draw 25 amps. The difference between the two settings in terms of performance is its heat output (you will get a stronger/higher heat output with the higher wattage). It's just essentially like going from low to high on a space heater.

I do recommend switching to a 30 amp fuse if possible for your setup, or you could have issues with it blowing - especially when switching to the higher 300W setting on the heater.

I have attached a short video review on this product below that you can also check out.
