Replacement B&W Fifth Wheel Base To Use Companion In 2019 Ram 3500 With OEM Prep
Question:
Currently I have a flip ball BandW hitch in my 2008 Ford F250 Long Bed with the Non Slide Companion 5th Wheel hitch. I just purchased a 2019 Ram 3500 LB and it has the 5th Whell prep installed in it. Can I use my existing companion hitch or will I have to purchase a new base? I like how I can use it in my Ford as a goose neck or 5th Wheel.

You can purchase a new base to use the B&W Companion Hitch from your 2008 Ford F-250. The replacement base for the 2019 Ram 3500 with 5th Wheel Prep is part # BWRVB3600 if you have a long bed. You can just use the same head that you have from the other hitch. The setup has a capacity of 25,000 lbs with the fixed based.
If you have a short bed, I recommend to use the slider base B&W OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Ram Towing Prep Package - 20K part # BWRVB3670. With the slider base the setup is rated for 20,000 lbs.
