I recently purchased a 2017 ram 2500 with the puck system. I currently own the fifth wheel companion system. Will the head unit from my old system fit on the base of the BWRVK3600 and if so can I purchase just the lower

Yes, you can take the head off of your current B and W Companion hitch and use the Ram Companion base part # BWRVB3600 to attach it to the rail kit of your 2017 Ram 2500 with the factory rail kit.

Functionally they are the same as they have the same jaw design, but they do attach differently so they are not interchangeable. The Patriot head replacement is the part #BWRVC3200 and the Companion head replacement is #BWRVC3006.
