Trailer Wiring Harness for 2020 Subaru Outback Wagon That Doesnt Require Running Wire to Battery

Hi, So I see you offer several trailer harnesses to fit my 2020 Subaru Outback XT. While not covered in install videos, It seems that some models require running a seperate power wire back to the battery which seems like it could be pretty involved. I would prefer not to do that unless necessary or I can wire it to the 12V outlet in the rear of the car. So what model do you recommend for simplicity of install for use with basic boat/utility trailer towing?

For your 2020 Subaru Outback Wagon XT the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118467 will work perfectly. This custom harness is going to plug right into existing ports in the rear cargo area and you will not have to run a separate hot lead to the battery. This will get power from the tail light circuits on the vehicle so it's a simple plug-and-play install without any additional connections or wiring.
I have attached an installation video on the 2019 model Outback Wagon that you can use for reference. The process will be similar on your 2020 model, although the plug will be on the passenger side (beside the threshold plate) instead of the driver's side.
