Best Trailer Hitch and E-Bike Rack for 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid

Question:

My wife just got a 2020 Rav4 XLE hybrid so we are looking for a hitch and and the best rack to carry our electric bikes. Both bikes weigh less than 100 lbs. We can take the batteries out if necessary but we'd rather not. Looking for something easy to use and nice on the eyes. If I have to pay a little more for a higher quality product, that's understandable. Your selection is massive though so I don't even know where to begin. Your input is much appreciated!

For your 2020 Toyota RAV4, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame 2 Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT82QR because if has a maximum tongue weight rating of 675 lbs (highest available for your RAV4) and also because its mostly hidden design, so it will both look and work great for you. I've attached a photo of this hitch installed on a 2019 RAV4 XLE Hybrid so you know how it will look once installed.

As you mentioned, our selection of bike racks is extensive. That being said, there are several reasons why the Yakima HoldUp EVO 2 Bike Platform Rack # Y02479 is an excellent choice to carry your two e-bikes.

The KickStart foot lever makes it super easy to lower the rack from a stored position and the easily accessible remote tilt lever lets you tilt the rack up or down for access to your trunk, even with the bikes loaded.

It also features a speed knob that turns to tighten the rack's shank inside the receiver, as opposed to most other racks that require tools to do so. This rack looks very nice as well and features a superior glossy black powder coat finish. It has a capacity of 50 lbs per bike, which means less of a hassle for you, as the batteries can stay put.

I also included a photo of this rack on a 2018 RAV4 as well as a video that covers plenty of other features the HoldUp EVO has to offer.
