How To Mount a License Plate On a Haulmark Utility Trailer
Question:
I have a strange question. We have owned the trailer since the early 90s. We are going to sell it and just noticed there is no place for the license plate. Did it used to be under back doors? Do you sell license kit? My registration has a license plate number so it must have had one originally. Thanks

I don't have any information specific to any one particular trailer but what I can tell you is that most license plates are mounted under the driver side tail light. In fact, most driver side tail lights even have a bracket for the license plate as well as a light that points down from the tail light to illuminate the license plate. The Low Profile LED RV Tail Light part # RVSTLB61 for example has the license plate mount and light as mentioned above and can then be paired with the Low Profile LED RV Tail Light part # RVSTLB60.
The other option that is commonly used on trailers is simply a standalone license plate mount like the Optronics LED Trailer License Plate Light/Bracket part # LPL55CB which simply ties into the running light circuit. I have attached a list of all our other standalone mounts/lights for you as well. I recommend this route for you as it sounds like it would be the best match for your trailer without having to change out the tail lights.
