Equipment Needed to Flat Tow 2020 Jeep Wrangler Behind Class A Motorhome

I want to flat tow my 2020 Jeep Wrangler behind my Class A motorhome. I plan on hanging on to the Wrangler for awhile, so I want to go with quality, long lasting components. What is recommended as far as a tow bar, base plates, braking, etc are concerned?

In order to flat tow your Jeep, you seem to have a pretty good handle on the big picture as far as the parts you need.
For a base plate, I really like the Roadmaster # RM-521453-5 direct-connect base plate. The removable base plates are unobtrusive once the drawbars are taken off. No crossbar is needed on the tow bar, so the tow bar/base plate connection looks clean and is easy to use. For a tow bar, I really like the # RM-676 Nighthawk. The wiring umbilical is included, as are the safety cables, and the Nighthawk has features like non-binding and self-aligning arms that make hook up and disconnection. The tow bar is also equipped with LED lamps that illuminate the tow bar when the coach running or headlights are on, which makes attaching or disconnecting the vehicle easier at night.
Now for the wiring. As mentioned above, the tow bar includes the umbilical and the 6 pin socket for the flat towed vehicle is also included. You'll need 4 diodes, part # RM-790 and 4 conductor wire sold by the foot, part # 16-4B-1. The kits we sell typically include 30 feet.
If your Motorhome has air brakes, go with the Air Force One braking system from Demco, part # SM99243 or if the coach has hydraulic brakes, use # SM99251. The hydraulic brake model would also need a brake stop lamp switch, part # RM-751490.
If the installed height of the base plates and the receiver on your coach aren't within 3 inches +/- of each other, you'll need a high/low adapter. With stock tires and wheels, the base plate I recommended will sit about 16-1/4 inches above the ground.
