What is the Distance from the Ground to Top of the Ball on a 2006 Volvo XC70
Question:
Im looking at purchasing this hitch along with a harness/adapter for my 2006 Volvo XC70. The trailer manufacturer had indicated the trailer required the ball to be a certain distance from the ground. Are you able to tell me approximately what the measurement would be from the ground to the ball with this hitch on my car?

I do have some measurements using Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 36297. On a vehicle we installed hitch # 36297 on, the hitch measured 11 inches from the ground to the top of the receiver. Keep in mind this is not the same model vehicle and there are bound to be differences in ride height so these measurements should serve as a general guide.
Then, when using the correct ball mount, # 36061, as indicated by the hitch manufacturer in the proper rise position, add another 3-1/8 inches to that 11 inches on the hitch. Then, using a 2 inch ball, # 19258, add another 2-3/4 inches from the top of the ball mount to the top of the ball.
The grand total is 16-7/8 inches from the ground to the top of the ball. Do keep in mind that every vehicle is going to be different so you have to give or take a couple of inches so just use 16-7/8 inches as a guide. I have included some links on the Draw-Tite hitch for you to view.
