Need a fifth wheel hitch recommendation for 2020 Chevy Silverado Long Bed towing 41 Foot 2017 Montana Fifth Wheel Trailer.

The fifth wheel hitch I most often recommend is the Companion by B&W, because of how well constructed, durable and easy to use it is. The Companion uses an extremely strong 1 inch thick hitch jaw that tightly holds the fifth wheel king pin. This provides for a great ride, unlike some of the entry level hitches where the king pin can rattle around in the hitch, transferring each one of those bangs and crashes to the tow vehicle. The actual hitch you need will depend on whether your hitch is equipped with the factory tow prep package with the pucks in the truck bed as well as the capacity you are needing.

If you do not have the prep package, you'd use the # BWRVK3500-5W with the # BWGNRK1020-5W insatll kit. The install kit will also allow you to tow gooseneck trailers with the addition of the # BWGNXA2061 ball/ safety chain kit. To install an in-bed 7-way trailer connector, use part # C56000.

If you do have the prep kit with the in-bed pucks, use # BWRVK3715 for a 25K capacity or # BWRVK3710 for a 20K capacity.
