Switching from Standard Equalizers to Road Armor Kit and Recommended Shackles + Bushings

Question:

I actually wanted the system with grease fitting on the bolts to keep everything well lubricated at all times. What kit would I need and what grease please?

You will be able to use the Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizers since they're fairly close in dimensions (6" wide x 3-1/4"). I recommend pairing these equalizers with the Never Fail Tandem Axle Suspension Kit # LC281285 which comes with 2 different lengths of shackle straps (3-1/2" and 4-3/8" bolt hole to bolt hole) to accommodate for the change in height, new bolts and bushings for your springs. One of the great things about this kit, aside from it being high quality and durable, is that the bushings require zero grease-so you won't need any for the installation of this kit. If you're going to reuse the bolts you currently have, it's recommended that you clean them off thoroughly since any grease could actually deteriorate the bushings prematurely.

The beauty of the Never Fail system is that it is designed to work without grease, since the bolts are self lubricating and the bushings are designed to provide a much more durable solution than what you would normally use-normal suspension application grease would break down the bushings so that's why it's not recommended. With that being said, I understand wanting to do it this way to give you some peace of mind when it comes to making sure things are lubricated properly at all times. It's worth noting that most complete bolt/shackle/bushing systems come with equalizers included in the kit, so we would need to piece this together with some different parts. To start, you can use # TRSL350 for your 3-1/2" shackle straps and # 126B2 for bolts- I would recommend measuring your old bolts to make sure those are going to be long enough. You'll also need 1-3/4" long bushings similar to # D014-077-00 . The LubriMatic Moly EP Grease # LM54FR is recommended for use on all of the bushings.
