Cargo Carrier That Will Allow Ram Promaster Rear Doors to Open
Question:
Do you have a slide out hitch rack that will allow the doors of a 2014 Promaster to open all the way? All Promaster Models should have the same rear door clearance issues. If so, do you have any Promaster pictures with this rack? i measured and it is too close to be sure. I really need this! Thank you.

We have not yet had the chance to install the GearDeck 17 Enclosed Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Slide Out - 17 cu ft - 300 lbs - Black # H00604 on a Ram Promaster however I am happy to provide you with some measurements. The GearDeck 17 sits 14" from the center of the hitch pin hole when in use and then when it slides, it will be 50 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole.
Another option would be the Yakima EXO Swing Away Enclosed Cargo Carrier # Y62VR which will swing completely of out of the way for rear cargo access. Check out the video of these carriers to help you make a choice.
