Opening the Rear Doors on a Ram ProMaster With a RockyMounts BackStage Hitch Bike Rack Installed

Will the RKY10002 allow access to rear doors on a Promaster van?

The RockyMounts BackStage, part # RKY10002 swings open to be 49 inches from the shank to the closest part of the rack. This should allow the doors of your ProMaster Van to open, but not to the full distance they normally do.

2017 Ram ProMaster doors swing open to 260-degrees, and you won't be able to get to that full distance with the RockyMounts swung out. You'll probably get closer to 90 to 120-degrees open, which is still plenty to load and unload cargo.
