Torsion Axle on Enclosed Cargo Trailer No Longer Flexes

Question:

Our churches cargo trialer has dual torsion axles and they will not flex. It sits for long periods of time in the garage and I was wondering if they could be forzen somehow and is it possible to get them to flex again. thanks

Internally in the axle tube, there are rubber bumpers that will provide progressive resistance against the square torsion bar trying to twist. Over time and with disuse, the rubber bumpers become hard and brittle and will no longer provide the cushioning they used to.

At this point, you'll need to replace the axle. We offer the Timbren Axle-Less suspension system like part # A35RS545 that might make an excellent solution for you.

If you could get the listed capacity on the axles ID tags or provide the GVWR from the VIN tag, I'd be happy to make a recommendation for a new axle solution. I've linked you to a product description video that explains how the axle-less suspension works.
